New Section 301 Extension List Released

The USTR has released a list of 87 exclusion extensions for Round 4A (9903.88.15). These extensions cover certain products found seven exclusion sets which had an expiration date of September 1, 2020. This list of extensions, like other recent Section 301 actions, has an expiration date of December 31, 2020. A link to this list of extensions can be found here.

Once again, the majority of exclusions were allowed to expire as scheduled so most of the goods found on round 4A have now lost their exclusions.

Included in this list of extended exclusions are face masks and other medical products, along with original paintings and collector’s items. Products covered by the extensions will be entered under 9903.88.57 instead of their original exclusion provisional. The new provisional number is not yet available for use in Customs’ system.

Two more exclusion sets are scheduled to expire on September 20 and another two have an October 2 expiration date. Our Exclusion Guide has a complete rundown of the Section 301 tariffs covering China origin products.
