8th set of exclusions for Section 301 tariffs have been posted, retroactive to September 24, 2018

August 12, 2019

The USTR has released their 8th set of exclusions to the Section 301 tariffs on Chinese products.

This set which covers only 10 items is the first to grant exclusions for goods found on the third list of the 301 tariffs and is retroactive to September 24, 2018. The exclusions granted are effective for one year past the publication date of August 7, 2019.

The items covered are very specific and the list does not cover items in common use across industries.

A copy of the list is attached and you can also visit the link direct to the Federal Register here.

Please take a look and let us know if you import any of these items from China. We expect that there will be many other items on list 3 which will be granted exclusions in the coming months.

We will continue monitoring this situation and update you with any changes. If you have any questions please contact us.
